God must be a Teamster! When it snows on a Saturday the town pays members of the Highway Division of the Public Works Department time and a half in overtime. When it snows on a Sunday we pay double time. Today's snow --which is expected to end on Sunday, will cost the town lots of money. Although these are difficult budget times for all municipalities - I want to reassure residents that we ARE NOT CUTTING BACK ON SNOW REMOVAL EFFORTS. Our entire highway dept will be on the roads -- working hard to keep our roads safe for your use.
